Not a hit, but useable

The sizing is smaller than expected-- L & XL , 2 styles each. Having lost weight , and currently wearing size 8, which are getting loose, I expected the L would perhaps fit. I opened the pkg of L, saw immediately it was too small. I have tried the XL - both are uncomfortably tight, and the fabric in hot weather is too warm.
I will look to see how to return the two I have not tried.
